Crooked Creek, Girard State forest is located 43km east of Tenterfield on the Bruxner Hwy. The site is set on an open grassed area surrounded by scrub about 400m back from the Hwy.

Crooked Creek, Girard SF, is a small grassed area about 400m back from the Hwy. It is a basic camp/rest area with primitive drop toilets, a picnic table down by the creek and some shaded areas around the perimeter of the ground. The bordering creek is seasonal. Domestic animals and open fires are allowed unless signed otherwise.

Getting there: Take the Bruxner Hwy East from Tenterfield. Follow hwy 43km out to the signed Crooked Creek Rest Area on the right (if coming from Tenterfield direction). Take the signed unsealed road about 400m down to the camp/rest area.
