Illaroo South, Yuraygir National Park, is an open grassed area just behind the open beach and is perfect for both tent camping and trailers. Good facilities including a BBQ and picnic areas. Great for fishing, swimming, surfing and hiking, this is a very popular spot during peak periods. Not far from Illaroo North and access to Rocky Point camp ground can be made from here.

Cost: $11.50 per adult per night. $6 per child per night. Children under 5 years are free of charge. Park entry fees apply, $8 per vehicle per day.

Getting there: Off the Pacific Hwy, a short drive south of Grafton, turn left at Eight Mile Lane and follow it till it becomes Wolli Road. Continue about 30km. Turn left at Minnie Water Road.
