Black Birds Flat, Howqua Hills is basic dispersed busy camping across the Howqua River from the Sheepyard Flat camp area. There are basic toilet facilities and the site is well shaded. Nice spot for a swim, a spot of fishing and a good option if Sheepyard Flat Camping Area is busy. It is FREE and Pet Friendly.

Getting there: From the Mt Buller Tourist Rd take Grammer School Rd at Merijig (Halfway between Mansfield and Mt Buller). This gravel road becomes Howqua Track and will take you out to the signed camp area which is just before the bridge over to the Sheepyard Flat Camp Area.
