Broken River, Eungella Nat Park, Mackay Hinterland is grassy open-plan camp site set amongst bushland adjacent to the information centre and Kiosk next to Broken River. The campground is suitable for tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping; medium sized caravans; camper trailers; (small) motorhomes and even larger groups. The site provides drop toilets and fire rings and the nearby day use area has Kiosk, picnic tables and gas barbecues. The site has a variety of walks through the forest and along the river where you may be able to spot a platypus. The site is pay to stay and not pet friendly.

Cost: $5.95 per person per night or $23.80 per family group per night. Camping permits must be obtained before camping from www.nprsr.qld.gov.au or by phone on 13 74 68



Getting there: Take the Mackay-Eungella Rd 86km west from Mackay up to Broken River. Very steep climb up the escarpment to Eungella.
