Flat Rocks, Bathurst, is a large grassed area set on the Fish River, a short drive from the town of Oconnell about 22km south east of Bathurst. This free pet friendly site is council run and has basic facilities like toilets and bins, so you'll need to come prepared with wood, gas and water.

Not a bad spot to lounge around on the large flat rocks in the sun and cool off with a dip.

Getting there: Off the Greater Western Hwy, at Kelso heading into Bathurst from Lithgow/Sydney, take a left into Littlebourne Street. This soon becomes O'Connell Rd. Follow O'Connell Rd 17Km out to the Village of O'Connell. At O'Connell turn left onto Mutton Falls Road and follow it out to the camp ground that will be on your left.
