Heifer Creek, Eastern Darling Downs/Lockyer Valley is about 30km south west of Gatton/South east of Toowoomba. It is a shaded camp/rest area, half way along the scenic drive between the Lockyer Valley on the way up to the Darling Downs.

Heifer Creek, Eastern Darling Downs/Lockyer Valley is half way up the range between Gatton in the Lockyer Valley and Clifton on the Darling Downs. It is a shaded camp ground/rest area on the bend of the creek. The site has basic facilities like drop toilets, picnic tables and wood BBQ's.

Weather permiting you could take a drip in the creek or just site back under the giant gums and take in the surrounding Valley. A good stop for trailers and vans making their way up the range.

Getting there: From the town of Gatton take Gatton-Helidon Rd South west. Take a left onto Gatton-Clifton Rd and follow about 25km ot to site.

From Toowoomba you can take the New England Hwy about 30km south. Then take a left onto Greenmount-Hurstville Rd and follow it out to Gatton-Clifton Rd. Take a left onto this road and follow it out to site.

Site is well signed and is basically the only place you can pull over on the Gatton Clifton Rd.
