Water Park, Byfield State Forest, is a beautiful campground set amongst rain forest on water park creek. Though the creek is accessible for fishing and canoeing, swimming is not advised as the creek is considered crocodile habitat. The site boasts good facilities including BBQ's, picnic areas and flushing toilet amenities. Insect repellent is a must.
Camping areas are broken up into small bays, with some suitable for camp based camping and others for trailer based camping. All are shaded and private.

Getting there: From Yeppoon take Yeppoon-Byfield Rd,at about 10km this becomes Farnborough Rd at the round about at Farnborough, continue straight about another 10km until you reach the t intersection take the right into Byfield Rd and follow about 12km till you see Water Park Rd on the right. Follow Water Park out to the campsite and day area.
