Vaughan Springs, Castlemaine Diggings is a small open site on the hill above the mineral springs site. Handy for small trailers and tents the site and surrounding area is littered with 19th century history from the gold rush through to the mineral springs.

Getting there: South of Castlemaine, take Vaughan-Springs Rd from the Midland Hwy and follow out to the site signed just after Vaughan.
